Default 2000 LeSabre Broken Blend Door, NOT Actuator

I was having issues getting Heat or A/C out of my vents and began troubleshooting. After inspection, I found that the driver side blend door actuator had broken away from where it mounts to the HVAC housing. When I removed the actuator, I attempted to open/close the blend door by hand to get hot or cold out of my vents, only to find that the plastic shaft will not turn, so I believe the blend door itself, or the shaft that connects to it must be broken. The access to the housing sucks, and I believe the only way to get to it fully may be removal of the entire dash. Does anyone have experience with this issue or dash removal to get to the housing? Even if I could rig a manual way to move the door by cutting in I'd be happy with that. This care doesn't have a ton of life left, but I'd like to keep it around if I could get heat coming in when winter hits.
