1989 Buick Skylark starting problems...need help!
Why does it only start when the weather is warm outside? When its raining or cold outside, it starts then dies after a few minutes. It also sputters when its trying to start in cold weather. Is this problem easy to fix or will I need to take it to a mechanic ?

Car thinks it is in reverse and won't start. Shift it to park, or adjust linkage so the reverse light switch is not engaged. You may have a colapsed motor mount and the engine/transmission are out of position causing the linkage adjustment problem.

There's a small single wire on the starter that ignites the starter ,check it for power when someone turns the key to start the car there should be 12V,if no voltage check wire for burnt, worn or cracked sign's and replace if nessasary
