Clock in radio stays on all the time, draining battery
Hi all
Just like the title says. My mom's 1995 Buick Skylark's clock in the radio is staying on, killing the battery in about a week. If I pull the fuse labeled alarm ( key in ignition, door open alarm ), the light goes out. Pulling the fuse labeled radio does nothing for the clock. I do not have a shop manual or wiring diagram.
If anyone has any tips or a wiring diagram they could share, this would be way cool.
Thanks, Randy

One thing you can do is ask your friend to recheck what he did or take it to a professional to check it out...If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like your friend accidentally connected a constant hot wire to your stereo and the dash clock at the same time... Meaning there's a wire in your car that always has power going through it even to it's off...

The radio, as well as the whole car, is in it's factory original condition. It just started doing this out of the blue. We are planning on replacing the radio. Was hoping to pin point the problem before throwing parts at it.
