My newest research has led me to believe that if either the wire
that goes to the low oil sensor on the oil pan is loose or corroded or
the wire that connects to the oil pressure switch is loose or corroded
you get a flashing oil lamp warning and a oil pressure low to normal
on the lighted read out. Keeping the wires clean and tight may have
solved the problem the 1999 Park Ultra Buick uses the three wire
oil pressure switch by the way cost 63.00 at dealership. The only
way it is bad if it is leaking otherwise it it is a poor connection. I belive
that either loose wire can cause false read out.
