I have a 95 Regal with a 3800 motor in it and I had some questions,about the tranny,I know little about cars,but have much interest in any info,I havent driven it in a bout 8months now,I am hopeing in good news,when it happened of course I checked the fluid level and all,I havent changed the gasket though,It has 2nd 3rd,as I remember,you have a little 1rst then that goes away,and I think it had no reverse but it might of,sorry its kinda vague but it was 8 monthes ago,also some one told me the only trans that will go with the 3800 is the one that comes with it,is it not the one used with a 3.4 and 3.1 and 4.3 like I said Im not to up on this I want to know more though,thanks

 

actually there are many 4t60e s u can find. they had em in luminas, grand prixs, apvs, park aves, bonnes, among many others. so it shouldnt be too hard to find a new tranny out of a junk yard for ur regal.

but the 4.3 is a rwd eng very different trans than ur fwd regal

 

but really for what its worth id look around for an eng and trans with vin code 1, the supercharged engs.
