Default Headlights/Electrical Problem?

Re: 1995 LeSabre 3.8. When you own an older car, you're like an old man. You either wake up as good, better, or worse. Anyhow while driving on the highway last night, I noticed my headlights vacillating between bright and not, like something is going on and off affecting them. I thought it might have been the A/C but that system was turned off.

One of the things I have found with a problem similar to yours was after checking the connections at the battery (they are usually covered and can't always be seen) the regulator in the alternator was causing the problem with visable voltage fluctuations. Replacing the alt took care of the problem.

Default 06 Lacrosse low beam headlight recall

06 Lacrosse I just bought for my mother. 70,000 original miles. Well there are 4 recalls on my vehicle which were never fixed. I just replace a low beam headlight that cost me $27. Has anyone had this problem and either fixed it cheaply or know how to?
