Angry courtesy lights don't work 2001 lasaber

courtesy lights won't come on in 2001 lasaber, neither light will work, so i don't think it's the bulbs. The operators manual does not show a fuse, it shows a relay. I doubt i can buy a relay for a car this old. Any ideas

Many times one fuse may be protecting a few circuits and you might need to check the fuses physically.

The easiest way to do this is with a simple test light by connecting the ground clip to a good ground and probing both sides of the tops of each fuse . By touching the little opening on the top of each fuse , If it lites on one side , it MUST light on the other side of that fuse. If it does not, the fuse is open and requires replacement, WITH THE SAME COLOR/SIZE/NUMBER ON THE FUSE. Example--blue is a 15 AMP rated fuse.
Some fuses will not show any power on either side because it may require the key to be on or the circuit energized another way. The above test will reveal almost all defective fuses and works well.

If ,,you find a blown fuse and replaced it and it blows again,,,,,,,,,,,,there is a reason and the cause needs to be found and repaired If you come across this type problem, get back to us and we should be able to offer some simple checks, thanks.
