Default 1970 LeSabre Convertible

It appears that the door panel must be removed to install new door weatherstripping. Is this an easy job? Old weatherstripping was rotted out. The old one has metal inbedded in the rubber on the door hinge side of the weatherstripping. Also, the original white pins that hold in the weatherstripping are impossible to remove without breaking them off. I am guessing that they can be cut off and the hole can be drilled out to size?

i found it online. It fits well just having some issues on the door hinge side when auto window comes up. May have to trim it a little. Also not sure if I am going to use adhesive or not. Manufacturer is super soft.
