replacing camshaft timing solenoid (vct)
I'm having a hard time pulling the sensor out. anybody experience this? need help. thanks...

https://www.yourmechanic.com/article...chael-gonzales Could possibly be nothing more than O ring seal(s) holding/sticking. I'd try tapping out with wooden/wedge shaped block or twisting maybe to break seal. Probably have fixed by now anyways, late answering.
