A/C and heater fan. Again
18 months ago I posted that I had an issue with the fan motor in my 2005 Lacrosse. The fan motor burned up after a small creature had built a nest inside. Just this past week the fan started making an awful racket. I took the fan out and found about a half dozen hickory nut shells had fallen into the fan. There's no sign of a nest this time. My question is how these things are getting through into the fan. They're about the size of an acorn, so I'm guessing a hole has been created somewhere in the vents or intake. I'm just not sure where to start looking.
On top of this I'm not getting any heat in the cabin. Plenty of air movement, but no heat.

When we get something like this and have no addl info, sometimes a piece of plastic tubing placed where you think the inlet might be blow a little smoke in there and it should come out the fresh air entrance. Then we go from there. They could be leftovers.
