Having oil issues on my 98 Lesabre 3800. Started ticking, then the "Check Oil" light came on. Added about 3 quarts of oil to get home from work. Decided to drain the oil and change filter in case something strange is going on and it IS.

The oil is coming out in chunks. Any ideas? Doesn't look contaminated with coolant but it is very chunky. Had the intake gaskets done about 3 years ago.

What color is the oil that is draining ?
Have you checked the coolant level and have you lost any ?
When you say chunks, what do they feel like and what does each chunk contain aside from oil?
