Battery Drain?
#1
Hello All,
New to this site and would like to say hi to you all.
I just purchased a 91 Regal GS. I like the car but it is an older car and there are problems. After taking it to the tire store for rubber, they found front end work and exaust work as well $1200.00 latter. I went out the next morning and dead... %@#$*&. So, there is a drain on the system somewhere. The guy I bought it from said he pulled the plug on the electric antenna because it was draining the battery. He told me that he swaped out the battery and the alternator trying to figure this out. Both part''''s look brand new. Does anyone have knowlege of where to start or will I do it the old fashion way, with a meter mesuring current draw and pulling fuses. There was an after market sound system in this car before because I pulled a bunch of monster cable out of it. Prob my best bet is to start there looking around.
Any thoughts or advise would be extremly helpfull.
Thanks to all who respond!!!
