Default Shakes and runs rough when starting

My wife's 03 is starting to shake and rattle when starting it. It happens mostly when starting cold. It seems almost like a misfire but when I try to work on it I can't get it to act up. There are no error codes coming up. Where should I start?

Does it happen every time you start or only after it has been sitting for a while?

It too sure sounds as the throttle position sensor is sensing and creating an over rich condition with cold startups. Makes me think of the old hand choke or even like my snow blower...... When they run rough more air is required on colder temp. starts. Must be seeing black exhaust smoke also. Could be something as simple as a mouse nest in air box.
