2002 Rendevouz's CD player stopped working and cleaning the CD doens't work (doesnt recognise the CD).

Can I fit aftermarket units instead of the crappy Buick one? if so - any recommends?

Sometimes its not the CD but the laser reader eye on the reader that gets dirty. You may want to get some can air and try to blow it around inside and dislodge whatever is on the reader eye.

Avoid turning the can upside down and spraying the liquid gas.

Some Buick models have had significant difficulty with the after markets with lighting to AC quitting and others going full bright without dimming. Try to contact a installer who has some experience with your car. I realize the after market CD/Radios have more bells and whistles than the OEM, what with MP3 and USB thumb drive readers on the front panel.

Good Luck
