My sister in law has a 2001 Regal LS. She''s having a weird electrical problem. Looking for ides. When you start the car the radio and ac lights are dim. After driving for a while they come on. Also, he dash panel lights have a similar problem but don''t come on when her radio and ac light do. Not only do her panel lights not come on but her odometer doesn''t either. Her indicator lights work all the time.


I''m thinking it''s a ground problem but not sure where to start. Not very familiar with her car. Any ideas would be great!!!!

 

it does sound like a ground problem. I''d start with the body ground and work my way forward to the dash.

yes the body to Chassis ground, start my checking the battery contacts, then the ground off the starter, work your way back.
