replacing dash speakers

replacing dash speakers
I am replacing my stereo, and speakers, on my 1990 Electra with BETTER quality components.
Has anyone here attempted to replace the dash speakers themselves?
Did you have any trouble with the project?
I have seen some YouTube videos, but none of them were for a 1990. One video I saw said that you have to remove the dash, and another said you can drop them in from the top. Neither looks like much fun.
I have noticed that if I remove my "glove box", I can access the right speaker that way, but I'm not really sure how to replace the drivers side speaker.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
