Hi,

I have a 1988 Buick Park Ave with all the bells and whisles. The turn signals have quit and the left brake lights do not work, but if I turn the 4 way flashers on, everything works. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

Thnabks in advance.

Often it is the signal switch in the steering column the problem. The brake signal and the turn signal use shared lamp. When the switch went bad you've got weird thing like your problem. The hazard use an other circuit it's why it still work.

Thank you. It turns out that all that was wrong was a bad flasher. my daughter had the left signal down when she hit the brake, that is why they did not light up. Back to the basics!
