Hello. I have a '91 Park Avenue. The original white paint still looks new. I'll try to get a picture soon. It's been garage kept since Dad bought it in 1992. I've replaced the front and rear brakes looking at Youtube videos and talking to an x-mechanic at work. I've been called a perfectionist...and I don't think that's bad....unless it affects the speech..speech..speech. So, I'm trying to cure the current issue of the front strut mount drivers' side. Riding over bumps in the road, their is a "bumping" sound...checked the outer tie-rod and seems ok. Lately the upper strut mount was squeeking and a sprayed silicon based lube to temporarly cure it. Next is an appointment at a garage.

Welcome to the site ! Regarding the noise in the L/F strut, if everything else is alright like any looseness or excessive bouncing indicating a worn strut, not knowing the mileage on the vehicle, the noise is something only a perfectionist would be concerned about. If it bothers you by all means get it taken care of. Other than that have a Happy Holiday.

I Think I Will
Thanks Charlie and Hanky, I think I will enjoy it here.
The car has almost 128,000 on it. Sometime over the Christmas break
we'll know more about the strut/suspension issue. And likewise....
Happy Holidays to you too.
