New guy here with a '96 Roadmaster
So, I got my hands on a '96 Roadmaster Limited Collectors Edition about a month ago, $1180 (I was short 20), 161k miles, power everything (Except my seat heater, lights on but no one is home).
Needs a few things, two of them major, the steering pump is weak, sounds like a cat being used as a belt, and the box is leaking badly. I think they put too much stop leak in it and made bad matters worse.
Cosmetic issues here and there, questionably repainted, strange old people smell, ya know, that sort of car. Hey, it's 20 years old with 160k miles, what do you expect?
It was originally a dealers car, belonged to his wife in Tennessee, then the family I got it form in 1998 with 40k miles on it, they paid around 17k after trading in a '90 Tercel (Quite an upgrade from a Tercel!).
I don't really have plans for the car, I just like land yacht's, and I've wanted something (More a wagon than a sedan) with a LT1 for years.
Only plans so far are to fix what's wrong, put on a 2.5" exhaust system, delete the intake resonators, throw in a stereo with four new speakers, and rock on down the road. It's got good tires, might need brakes in about 10-15k miles, but all in all, I don't think I did bad.

Gonna need to wash the car again, she's been playing the mud and snow. My driveway is a mess.
