Just joined up today. Received a 2000 LeSabre Custom from my mother-in-law who was recently put into an assisted living facility. She owned the car new since day 1. Color is "maroon" or whatever name Buick/GM decided to give to that color. Mileage is a whopping 22K miles. Mainly short trips, the longest of which was the drive from Michigan to Florida in 2002, where I did the driving. It usually sat garaged for months at a time, so i did a lot of maintenance on it; flushed the brake system, flushed/changed ATF/filter, changed engine oil every 3-4K miles using synthetic oil, flushed the power steering system, changed air and fuel filters, replaced two window regulators, and flushed the cooling system and refilled using the Dexcool product. The vehicle is surprisingly reliable, though not much fun to drive due to the numbness of the steering and suspension. My recent concern is oil consumption. I've posted in the LeSabre forum about that issue.
