Hi
Hi everyone,
I just signed up today and am hoping to get some answers for my car. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is but I'd like to get a second opinion. I have a 1987 LeSabre standard (I think) that overheats. I wouldn't know the exact nature because I'm 15 and didn't get to drive or ride it anywhere. I have looked around and I am currently thinking the problem is a faulty thermostat. What do you guys think?
Thanks

I believe I answered your last post re; thermostat. Here is a quick thing you can do. Just remove the two bolts that hold the thermostat in place and remove the thermostat. Reinstall the housing with the same o ring and run the engine. If the temp stays low , the thermostat was bad. If it still rises to the hot position you have other problems. Let us know how you make out.
