Default Hello there, just signed up

I bought a running 1955 Buick Special last year and was super excited to get into fixing all of the things that fall apart over time. So far I've replaced the gas tank and fuel lines, weather stripping, pieced together a new window regulator for the drivers side, replaced some glass, and tore apart the dash to clean/fix the gauges. The motor looked so trashed over time I thought I would strip it down and get things powder coated and put her all back together. I had to take a break due to life and am just getting back into it again. I have a new house with a garage so I'm pumped to get back to work! I'm having issues finding 1 part but I'll post in another thread! Excited to see other Buicks and learn all I can from the forum/people here.

You have your hands full there.

I can remember driving those 55s . That was the first year they came out with Variable Pitch Dynaflow transmissions.

Cadillac never could touch a Buick ride. The Special didn't have all the trim goodies, but still had the Buick ride. Good luck with your new project.

Thanks! I have made my list of all that I need to tackle. This is going to be a project for sure but I have faith she shall ride again!

As you can tell from the pictures, the car is a bit old, but it's undoubtedly a great car
