Howdy all- Jackson here. Am bringing back to life a nice 1985 Buick Ltd Special Edition with the V8 motor. I want to tow a small travel trailer with it. I see most hitches for it are rated at 3500 lb capacity and 300 lb tongue weight. I can't find any info on the actual rated capacity of the car itself. Any info or advice is greatly appreciate. We have a 1985 LeSabre Limited Collectors edtion Coupe.


I think that information is in the owners manual, which is in the car stored for the winter.
Will take me a while to get it but will make the attempt.

Owners manual says to keep tow weight below 2000 pounds and you may want to add a set of ait bags in the rear.
