Default Garage Door opener link

Just purchased a 2011 Lucerne CXL. I am not able to program the garage door opener to my relatively new Chamberlain opener. Any suggestions? Thanks

I must tell you right off the bat, I don't know the answer, but Is there any chance you might contact the opener manufacturer or the overhead door opener manufacturer?
From what I have seen the correct procedure is pretty simple, but not something that I do every day..

Thanks Hanky. Probably worth a shot. You are correct - it is a simple procedure and that's why it is so frustrating that it doesn't work.

Would appreciate if you kept us informed on any progress.
There probably is something simple that might be getting overlooked.
Don't be hesitant to share the entire problem and the steps you have taken , according to the instructions maybe someone just might turn the light on and , who knows !

The routine in the manual is quite simple:
press two outside buttons on upper console until all three lights blink slowly.
run up the ladder to press the "learn" button on the garage door opener.
press the selected operating button on the upper console.
lights blink slowly and door is supposed to move within 20 seconds.
after about 30 seconds all three light blink quickly and nothing else happens

Have tried this with ignition on and off.
have cleared previous codes on the door opener and on the car.

Have also tried other methods shown on Utube.

I would appreciate any other suggestions - am I missing something?

Cheers

I read what you described and I have some reservations. Did you call to get actual instructions over the phone and write down exactly what steps they say

Maybe even a dealership might be able to provide addl assistance. What is supposed to be so clear is not , at least to me. Knowing electronics some, one incorrect step will produce an aborted attempt.

OK - I have an answer. Apparently I now need a "Compatibility Bridge" to make it work. Another black box for $50.00! Quite common for some GM and Fords to talk to a Chamberlain opener.
