Don't know if this related but I recently had the serpentine belt replaced in my '95. Almost immediately I started having problems with the climate control. When I turn on the heat, I get heat on the drivers side and air conditioning on the passenger side. Suddenly its summer here in the NC and when I turn on the a/c, I get heat on both sides and have to turn it off and then on about three times before I actually get a/c. Is this a coincidence or was something not hooked up right when the belt was replaced? Some guidance, please....

it sounds to me like it is just taking a while for your AC to get working...try taking it to an AC place and get the level checked? since 95 the freon may be depleted and new to be recharged.

I have a problem, I recently bought a 95 lesabre. When I got it the ac controller was sitting in the floor. I tried to pug it in to see what happened and nothing happened, expect when I turnede on the head lights, the lights inside came on. It is a digital controller. I got another one and the same thing happened. The digital screen doesn't come on, nothing happens. The passanger side controller works (meaning the digital screen is on and you can adjust the temp bar) but ofcourse doesn't really do anything with out the main controller. Any ideas to what the problem is??

My problem was solved by replacing the Blend valve.
good Luck

I am guessing that when they replaced the belt they may have unhooked the battery. After unhooking the battery the HVAC goes through a calibration to find the end points on the blend valve/actuator and when it does this it forces it to full cold and full hot to find the endpoints. when it does this if your acutator is old the gear can strip out or crack and then it slips on the shaft that drives the arm that moves the blend door. I've seen this quite a bit and doesn't go over well when customer brings their car back and blames us for breaking their A/C.
