I have a 1994 LeSabre with 100k miles. The outside temperature reading is at -38 degrees and today in Chicago it's about 90 degrees outside. I want to know if this is an easy fix and if it has anything to do with the AC since that is not working either. I tried to recharge the system but this did not help. Since the coolest temp that the AC system can be set to is 60 degrees, if the car thinks it is -38, will the Ac operate? the fan blows only hot air. HELP!

if you tried to recharge it and it didnt help, are you sure that the compressor is engaging? if so, it must be a leak in the system somewhere.
