I have a 98 lesabre and it is making a weird noise. After 20 minutes or so of driving or idle it will start to make a "churping sound" then will start to make a loud squel (?). I have replaced the belt, pully, alternator and intake manifold recently. Belts are tight. I did notice there are some bolts missing from the motor mount. I also notice that when the car is put in drive the motor shifts and the squel will stop and then start again. I am not sure what it is was hoping someone could help me. My wife and I are on a limited income with 3 kids so would like to fix this without going to a shop. Also, could this be the transmission causing this?

Does anyone know anything about the hormonic balancer on these cars?

Find a stethoscope and locate the source.. or a long scredriver and listen to the handle...

Good luck
