I recently purchased a 1996 Buick LeSabre from a junkyard; it runs great and has an amazing interior, but the transmission is out. I am trying to figure out what sort of transmission it is, but I can not find it listed anywhere on the vehicle and I do not have the book.

So it is a 1996 Buick LeSabre V6 3800 Series II Custom Automatic. Could anyone tell me if it is a FW2 or FW17 variety of automatic transmission?

 

I think its a 4T60E... but it will be imprinted on the pan...
