Default 1995 Buick Lesabre, V6 Antifreeze smell.....

We are getting an antifreeze smell coming from under the hood and working its way intothe cab. Water pump was replaced some time ago, no antifreeze leaks at the hoses, thermostat housing or the water pump..... Couldit be the heater core? Would we get antifreeze in the cab if the hesater core has a leak? Please help, can't stand the smell!

Yes, you would get the odor of anti-freeze in the passenger compartment. One way you might confirm this would be when you turn on the defrosters it blows moisture up on the windshield.

I checked the compartment, no smell, coming from under the hood only, what do you think? Can't find any leaks but smell antifreeze for sure!!

If you can smell it , it's there. Look for green or white deposits on the engine usually when anti-freeze gets hot it leaves a deposit in the area. Could be the water pump seal or just a hose leaking because it's loose. If you can't find anything, best to have a shop put some pressure on the cooling system , that usually will expose the leak.
