Default Onstar doesn't know there own equipment.

I just bought an 04 Limited. been trying to get the onstar to work. Multiple calls to onstar and a visit to the dealer yielded nothing. I found out on my own that this onstar system is Analog and will not work anymore because of the FCC ruling that cell carriers no longer need to provide analog serves. It can be upgraded to digital if you sign up for 3 year service.

Amazing that no one at onstar or even the dealer knew this and could have told me.

I am curious about the costar blue tooth adapter though. But for the $275 price tag I could buy a nice after market stereo with blue tooth included. so I don't really see the point.
