Default 2005 CXL rear camber issue

Hi all,

The passenger side rear tire has a severe negative camber. I don't have the means to accurately measure it, but I'm guessing about 3-5 degrees. I'm finding conflicting information about how to fix this. I just had to put new tires on the car and the mechanic told me there's no adjustment and tried to sell me a rear wheel alignment replacing a bunch of stuff. I didn't expect to find an adjustment, but I do think there must be worn shims, bearings, or suspension to look at. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Are you aware of the possibility something was damaged back there like maybe backing into something or hitting a severe pothole?
I would agree to have a good alignment shop check your vehicle and provide you with an estimate of what is wrong and the cost to correct it.
If not corrected it will ruin a perfectly good tire quickly.

Definitely a possibility that something could be damaged. Wisconsin roads are pretty rough in spring when the thaw started heaving roads and new potholes make appearances. This is work I intend to do myself. I haven't done it on this particular vehicle, but have on others. I'm mainly curious about what to look for and what can or cannot be done.
