Default Buick Riviera Parking Brake Chime/Light

I have a 1996 Buick Riviera. The chime and light for the parking brake have been going off repeatedly for the last few days. The parking brake is not on and the brake does work. Any suggestions? Is there anyway I can detatch the fuse?

Before you go ahead and disconnect anything, look under the area where the parking brake moves and you should see a switch and some wiring, that switch may be sticking and require some lubrication. When the brake is in the released position the switch should open the circuit to the light and warning chime. Sometimes just moving it around will remove the problem. Let us know how you make out.
