Belt Tensioner Update

Previous post asking for advice on a 1997 LaSabre Belt Tensioner Assembly replacement. Thanks MrBSS.


Finally had time to see about car. Had to order the 2 o-rings for the heater hose 90' fittings(about 2.00 ea.)and the plastic elbow that came with its own o-rings(almost 10.00)from Buick Dealership. Was not too bad to replace. Wishing all the time that I had the designer with me so I could ask what they were thinking. Plastic elbow did break in the block. Need to make sure to remove all of the pieces.


Maybe this will help someone else with their repairs.

Well, he was probably thinking that it would save GM about $.50 per engine! That's what often happens when the focus is on reducing costs.
