Hello everyone....

Glad to join you in this forum...

I was maintaining my 1975 Buick Electra and I found this part or (wired sensor) dropped underneath the dashboard area close to the radio but I’m wondering what is this if anyone has an idea would be appreciated and where it should be clipped or attached ?

Looks a lot like a lamp that went to radio or maybe lit up heat/vent controls, perhaps ash tray? That orange wire looks familiar, must be for option not in car or maybe cigarette lighter, looks like higher amperage rating.
