Hi All,

I am new to your forum and wanted to say HI. I am restifying a 55 Bel Air and have a set of Park Ave power tilt memory seats without the controls. I am going to build my own panel but need a schematic to make sure I use the proper wires and delete the ones I don't need.

Thanks for your forum and thanks for alownig me to ask for help. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day.

Ken

Suggest going to a junk yard and pull the whole harness and switches.

What year Park Ave? I have the shop manual for my '97, and could probably digthis out if appropriate. My '92 ('91-'96 type)seems more likely because it had the seat controls on the door. Unfortunately, I gave the new owner that shop manual.

I understand your problem, as I went through this when I installed a power seat in my 2001 F150. Even then, when all was new, the parts I got from the dealer didn't match. I had to use a test light on the switch to tell what terminals were connectedin every various position, and reconnect the harness appropriately. PIA! It seems like the factory, or probably the interior supplier, had no consistency in subcomponents used.Maybe GM is better here, but I wouldn't count on it. And your "memory" capability complicates things further.

If all parts don't come from one donor, you may have the same situation.Or, you might just go ahead and do that anyway, since the schematic might not be that detailed orcould be incorrect.

Good luck!

PS: Inow see that you said '96 Park Ave, so my'97 wouldn't apply--rest of my comments, hopefully, still do.Edited by: MrBSS
