I recently purchased a 94 Century with a 2.2L. The engine had a thrown rod. I can purchase another wrecked car, a 96 with a 3.1L. Can I use the donor car for engine and tranny?
I realize that I will need to change over the engine harness, etc. But if I have a running donor car, why not? But will it fit, and work?
Thanks, Tom

i drive a 96 century with the 3100 (3.1) V6 and from what it looks and the relative room of the engine bay of the of the 2.2 its very risky swapping motors without jeaprodizing the supports of the front ends...but thats just an opinion not a factual things but im just trying to help..

Well, I bought a 94 2.2L with 84,000 on it. Got it for $500.
So far I've.
Installed the engine, with all new hoses, belt, air filter, fuel filter, fuel hoses from tank to filler neck, replaced the heater core, new radiator, rear shocks, front struts, passenger side half shaft, serviced the tranny, replaced the drivers outside door handle.
