need to change the steering wheel in my 2000 Century, after 9 years, mine is falling apart and it is the basic no frills wheel. The wheel I'd like to install is a leather wrapped wheel with the entertainment control options. It appears that this was considered as part of the Buick option package listed as UK3. The wiring for the power supply appears to be part of the air bag system, does anyone know if the harness section for this system is standard install or was this section of the harness(from the column to the radio) only installed when the upgraded wheel was ordered on the UK3 package? I'd really prefer not to pay $300 for a steering wheel that ends up having controls which do not work.
I'm changing the OEM radio over to a touch screen and would like to see whether or not to order up the radio interface now or apply the money towards another project in the beast.
