I have white smoke coming from the tailpipe, it smells like antifreeze. Is this the head gasket going? Engine still runs nice and there is no misfire, just white smelly smoke.

If it is a head gasket...how difficult is it for a garage mechanic like me to fix? Can I just remove the head like an old V8, or do I have to fool with timing belts, gears and other BS.

Hi,

I think this is known issue of GM car. My car is 2003 and it is also
included in the list. Please read more about it at following link .
