Electrical ouch!
#1
Today was supposed to be the big day. The day I cranked up my 2 year frame off resto project. I added all my fluids and attemted to connect my positive cable (after ground of course) and bam, sparks! Sparks so bad that I singed the fuse link down at the solenoid. What is really bothersome is that I used new harnesses throughout. I have looked for anything that may be grounding out that shouldn't be, but yet to find the problem. Any ideas? I know there are dozens of reasons this could be. I just ordered colored schematics off of e-bay. Wow, what a bummer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Yeah man, I was so freaked out when the thing blew the fusible link that I wasn't thinking straight. Anyhow, good news, it turned out to be the alternator. Like I said, this was a frame off resto and I rebuilt everything that was rebuildable rather than just replacing them with remans, anyhow, I guess I flubbed the alternator up. Well, anyway, she is sounding mean, lean and quite like the runnin' machine.
CIAO!
