I have a 92 Park Ave and every once in a while it won't
start. When I turn the key all the lights come on, all
electronics work but the engine won't make a noise. Usualy takes
anywhere from 5-40 minutes to finaly start up. Any ideas what the
problem is?< =""><!--

it doesnt make any noise? you say that it takes 5-40 minutes to start...is this 5-40 minutes of cranking? or what is going on during that period?

No the engine makes no noise whatsoever when i turn the key. And in
that 5-40 minutes i'm sitting in my car turning the key every once in a
while to see if it'll start. Today i replaced the starter which
someone told me wasn't the problem but i didn't have any problems yet
so we'll see.< =""><!--

It's a possible cause. usually it's the neutral parking switch that is
defective (if you have an auto tranny). The car sometime "think" that
you're not on neutral or park and won't start...
