Default RoadMaster wagon odometer lights

i really like my “new” Estate Wagon but it’s almost impossible to read the odometer without a flash light. How do I go about fixing this? There are lights there but they are so dim as to be useless.

You may have a bad dimmer switch. Do the rest of the bulbs light up properly? The lights for the odometer may be burned out, and you are getting spillover from other lights in the cluster. To replace bulbs, you must remove the dash front, to get to the cluster.

If I recall there are a couple of screws above the cluster, and then the rest is just held on by "pins". Once you get the screws out, it just pulls off, Do be careful, it is plastic.
