Hi & thanks, I bought a 1969 riviera from a friend of mine and his dad bought it in 1970 when they where living in California.
Its a real nice car!.
I was told that it has a special ordered 455 in it
could that be true? and if it is then how can I find out? vin? numbers on block?
I did a tune up and the plug wires dont go as the numbers on the intake.
distrubiter turns counter clockwise & firing order is 18436572
thanks

They were a very nice car. The 455 was pretty much a std engine in the larger GM vehicles then. The firing order is std also. What #s are you looking at on the intake mfld? Each runner had the cyl # in raised numbers with #1 being the first cyl up front on the driver's side. Some manifolds even had the firing order on them.
