Default How-To: Replace the Rear Wiper Motor on a Rendezvous

Hello Buick boosters!

If any of you fine folks have an inoperable rear wiper motor on your Buick Rendezvous then this write-up may come of assistance to you:

**REQUIRED TOOLS AND PARTS**
Wrench
Screwdrivers (flat head and phillips)
Rear Wiper Motor (I bought a cheap OEM replacement motor from gmpartsgiant.com)

1) Open the hood on your Rendezvous and remove the negative battery cable with your wrench.

2) Open the back of your Rendezvous and remove the trim fastening screws with your screwdriver. When you have removed the screws, pry the rear door trim off with your screwdriver.

3) Remove the wiper linkage from the top of your old wiper motor with your wrench, and remove the rear wiper motor's electric wiring harness by hand.

4) Use your wrench to remove the two bolts that hold the wiper motor down and pull it out. Set the new wiper motor in, insert the retaining bolts and tighten them with your wrench.

5) Plug the wiring harness into the new rear wiper motor and then replace the inside rear hatch trim. Insert the fastening screws that hold the trim in place and tighten them with your screwdriver.

6) Replace the negative battery cable on your Rendezvous with the wrench.

7) Bingo bango you're ready to go go!
