Default 2003 rendezvous brake issues

I have a 2003 Buick rendezvous AWD and when I went to change the brake pads and rotors my driver's front brake caliper bracket doesn't fit on my rotor right. The whole bracket and pads sits to high off of the rotor. I tried to take a picture for a reference. Also would there be a reason that my drivers side is wearing a whole lot faster than my passenger side? Any help and ideas is greatly appreciated!

They won't appear to fit sometimes. Need to open cap(s) on brake fluid reservoir and with a large C clamp or similiar recompress hydraulic brake rams. Fluid will return up to reservoir, do slowly or will overflow.

Also disc brakes will always have a very slight drag or contact w/rotors. When a ram sticks, the pads won't release and you have a locked up wheel. Happened only once to me (so far).
