Default Rekey 04 Regal?

Ignition cylinder went out. Got new part online thinking I'd just rekey it to my key. It does not come apart like most videos show. Can't find any videos with anything close. How the heck do i get this car running without taking it to a dealer?

Not completely sure of what you are attempting to do, however, when you start messing around with ign keys, you now involve the anti-theft system and you are better off having a qualified (Registered) locksmith come and take care of the problem. If new keys are required he/she has to program the replacement keys to your particular vehicle or it will not do anything like starting. Last resort is always the dealer. You might check price for road service ,then choose.
