I backed my 2001 Regal LS up in the drive last night and got in this morning to leave. The gear selector will not budge out of park. Anyone out there that can help? Is this going to be a serious problem? Thanks.

the brake light switch allows u to shift out of gear only when brake is applied. if that failed, it would cause that. those are usually pretty cheap. roughly $20.
