I have a 1999 Regal with 132000 miles. Recently, I've been getting this humming/whistling sound when I accelerate at lower speeds and usually only makes the sound around 2300 rpms then will stop somewhere past 3000. I really cant hear anything on the highway when I step on the gas. If I accelerate slow so the rpms dont reach near ~2300 then it wont happen. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here?

[img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]check your belts for craking and look at the drive pully in 99 gm put on plastic one and then switch it so look there first and then check the alt good luck mine was the pully 100057 miles
