when i step on the brakes of my 92 buick regal i hear a strange noise almost like someone clearing their throat. I know its wierd i have never heard it before. I have replaced all the pads front & rear & it still does it. Anyone ever heard of this problem before? Is this a sensorgone bad?[img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

 

Have you taken a look at your cv joints and/or upper and lower ball joints? Could be the issue.

 

it sounds like it could be a engine problem? You didnt say if you had
vacuum assisted brakes, but assuming you do, it could be your vaccum
booster.
