Alright guys, I searched but found nothing.


My friend has an '83 Regal with the 3.8 V6. I just sold him the engine (305)and transmission out of my '86 Camaro. How hard of a swap is this?What all do we need to modify? Im not new to engine swaps - my father and I have done everything from a 454 into a Vega to an H22 (DOHC VTEC) into a '95 Civic hatchback so this is definately something I think should go smoothly.

New here myself, and I see this is an older post. I have an 83 3.8L myself, and may one day see a small block going in here as well.


If you still need ideas or help, let me know. I've done the shade tree swap a few times myself.

 

I have an 85 that came stock with a 305 and has been swapped out to a 77 olds 350 in it. i did not do it but it appears to have bolted up to my tranny and just some "custom" motor mounts. of course it was an olds motor so power steering and alt etc has to be for that motor.

 

I put 305 in my 84'' with a 350 trans. I had to get a custom driveshaft cut. It cost me bout $130.
