I own a 1993 Buick Regal Custom 3.8Liter. I have been having issues with the paint cracking and falling off. It got really brittle on my drivers side door just below the window andas Irinsed my car while washing it recently the paint wasshooting off. My solution for this issue was to pinstripe under my windows after I stripped the rest of the loose paint. I had stripped the loose paint off(or I thought I had I should say) but as I positioned the pinstripe tape to pinstripeit was ripping more paint off ofmy door. What can I do to remove the remains of the paint where I want to pinstripe? I also have been kicking around the idea of getting some automotive spray paint and spraypaint instead of pinstriping. At any rate I need to figure out how I can remove the rest of the paint. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use to remove the remainder of the paint? Thanks. hi, i''m curious what you did about htis problem and if it worked. I also have a paint problem with my buick regal but it is much worse than yours...started small but kept getting bigger. i learned it was a defect but since the car is older it''s not covered. did you find a solution? thanks.

 

There isn''t really any solution to brittle paint problems. All you can do is
have it all removed and prepped to bring in for a freshy paint job! There''s
many methods to removing paint, just do a simple google search and i''m
sure you''ll see them.
